Nottingham Forest transfer message sent as 'third bid' rejected by Championship rivals

Nottingham Forest have reportedly seen a third bid for Blackpool's winger Josh Bowler rebuffed.

Bowler has been a window-long target the Reds as they dealt with interest in their own Brennan Johnson before rejecting another club record bid from Premier League side Brentford.

It is said, though, that Steve Cooper and Co remain determined to get Bowler before the window shuts next week.

The Seasiders have already previously rejected bids from Forest that fall short of his price tag, as per LancsLive.

Blackpool are thought to be looking at least seven figures for their man, who has also been on Fulham, Blackburn Rovers and Stoke City's radar.

Here is how some of the Forest faithful reacted to the latest transfer development on social media...

Alex: "I can't see us signing Josh."

Ryan: "Where will he play? We don't need him."

Caz: "We got a couple of players in early doors but have now gone back to our derisory offers as we chase further additions."

Tom Faulkner: "Bidding too low, hasn't worked in the past. Not sure why it will work now."

Lee Allcock: "Rather the young Hull winger."

Ian Clarke: "If Blackpool accepted our first offer I for one would be saying we bid too high."

JP: "Summer move for free then..."

Ryan: "Another one..."

Juan: "They're stupid if they let him go.."

Pablosis: "If we can't pay a million quid for him there's something wrong."

The 22-year-old has had 27 outings under boss Neil Critchley this campaign, scoring once and providing three assists.

Critchley previously told LancsLive the difference the youngster can make in a game.

"What he does is he carries the ball, he can get you from the halfway line to the penalty box in a few seconds so even when you’re defending you know that if they turn the ball over, you’ve got a player who can really hurt teams," he said.
