Nottingham Forest's transfer target Djibril Sow has reportedly already been the subject of 'enquiries' from four Premier League clubs ahead of the January transfer window.
The Switzerland international is currently at the World Cup alongside Reds midfielder Remo Freuler and has started all three of their group stage games, even assisting Xherdan Shaqiri's opener against Serbia on Friday while playing as an attacking midfield. In the round of 16, Sow and Co. face Portugal and the prospect of reaching the quarter-finals for the first time since the 1954 edition which was held in their homeland.
Forest reportedly wanted the central midfielder during the summer, with an initial £17 million transfer bid that could have risen by a further four million in add-ons said to have been submitted and a four-year contract on offer to move to the City Ground. The player, though, decided to stay with Eintracht Frankfurt ahead of their Champions League campaign.

That continues in mid-March when a two-legged round of 16 tie against Napoli is in store. Sow, though, is still the source of transfer rumours ahead of the January transfer window.
German language website FussballTransfers, translated by Sport Witness, claim that a quartet of Premier League clubs have 'already made enquiries' with a view to ascertaining the possibility of a deal being done during the winter window.
