Nottingham Forest transfer demand as Evangelos Marinakis agrees stunning James Rodriguez deal

Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis reportedly has a 'verbal agreement in place' to sign attacking midfielder James Rodríguez for Olympiacos.

The former Everton attacking midfielder is currently playing for Qatar-based side Al-Rayyan but now looks set to be leaving on loan, just under a year after arriving from Merseyside. James has only made 15 appearances during that time ahead of a proposed return to Europe.

A one-time Real Madrid galactico, the Colombia international has also previously represented Porto, Monaco and Bayern Munich, with fellow Marinakis-owned side Olympiacos looking set to be added to that list sooner rather than later, having already signed former teammate Marcelo on a free transfer.
