Nottingham Forest have not made a bid for Fiorentina left-back Cristiano Biraghi.
That's according to Fiorentina sporting director Daniele Prade, who dismissed the claim as "fake news" while talking to an Italian journalist about his club's summer transfer business.
It was reported yesterday (Tuesday) that Forest were in "advanced talks" to sign the Fiorentina captain, with a report in Italy saying Reds officials had met with the player's agent Mario Giuffrida. It was said Forest had tabled an eight-figure bid, while offering the player a four-year contract.

Head coach Steve Cooper is said to be interested in a number of left-backs to provide competition to Harry Toffolo, given the injury to summer signing Omar Richards. Real Betis' Alex Moreno was among those linked, but he turned down the opportunity to stay in Spain.
Forest had seemingly turned their attention to Biraghi by making a bid. Now, according to Prade, that is not true. “Nottingham Forest have not sent any bid for Biraghi - fake news”, he told Fabrizio Romano.
