Nottingham Forest transfer chief reveals two things he is 'working on' bringing to the club

New Nottingham Forest sporting director Filippo Giraldi has the club are working on bringing "rigour and discipline" to their work.

The former Watford transfer chief joined Forest earlier this month, shortly before owner Evangelos Marinakis took the decision to sack recruitment dynamos George Syrianos and Andy Scott.

Giraldi has been talking about accepting the opportunity to join Forest over the other offers he received. He also spoke about what he and the club are working on, and whether he would be enticed by an offer from his boyhood club Fiorentina.

"After leaving Watford I had a lot of offers, then came this one from Forest, which I immediately liked a lot, it’s an exciting challenge," he said, per Fiorentina.it.

“And then Nottingham Forest is a historic club, you can feel it at all times and in every place. The most important thing for me is seriousness, and we are working on bringing rigour and discipline.

“I start from the assumption that the whole football world wants to come where I am, everyone dreams of the Premier League and I’m happy to be where I am.

“Of course, if it (an offer from Fiorentina) happens I’ll be ready. I am however very attached to Fiorentina: doing my job you are no longer a fan, that kind of passion wanes a bit, but I am certainly attached to it.”
