Nottingham Forest will pay tribute to the victims of the Hillsborough disaster by leaving 97 seats empty during their quarter-final tie with Liverpool at the City Ground on Sunday evening.
The two sides have not met in the FA Cup since the semi-final of 1989, when 97 Liverpool supporters lost their lives at Sheffield Wednesday's Hillsborough football stadium, in Britain's worst ever sporting disaster.
Posting on their official Instagram page, Nottingham Forest said: "97 seats will be left vacant at tomorrow's match in honour of those who lost their lives at our FA Cup semi final in 1989. We look forward to welcoming Liverpool FC to The City Ground."

On Thursday, members of the Nottingham Forest Supporters' Trust visited Anfield to lay floral tributes on Liverpool's Hillsborough memorial, where they were met by Margaret Aspinall and members of the Spirit of Shankly supporters group.
The semi-final match in 1989 was abandoned after six minutes and eventually replayed at Old Trafford on May 7, with Liverpool going on to win the tie 3-1.
A sell-out crowd will be an attendance at the City Ground on Sunday, for a 6pm kick-off but 97 seats will remain empty.
