Nottingham Forest tipped to 'launch' £10m move for Ukraine striker

Nottingham Forest have been linked with a £10m move for Ukrainian forward Artem Dovbyk.

Steve Cooper is searching for another striker to add to his ranks as they head into the summer transfer window. Forest will need at least one forward brought into the City Ground this summer if they are to compete on their return to the Premier League for the first time in 23 years.

Dovbyk, 24, has scored 14 goals and contributed five assists in 17 matches for Ukrainian Premier Liga side SK Dnipro-1. The player has also scored in two of his previous three appearances for the national team, against Bosnia & Herzegovina and Scotland.

According to the Sunday People, Cooper is considering Dovbyk as a possible recruitment to his Forest squad. They claim that Forest will have had representatives at the Millenium Stadium as Wales beat Ukraine to book themselves tickets for a World Cup for the first time in 64 years.

The report adds Forest will "launch a £10m move" for the 24-year-old.

The Reds could do with an addition to their attacking department ahead of the Premier League season. Lyle Taylor and Sam Surridge are the only contracted strikers at the City Ground; Lewis Grabban's terms are up for renewal this summer, whilst Forest are hoping to persuade Aston Villa to sell Keinan Davis to them.

Forest also have Wolves forward Morgan Gibbs-White in their sights this summer, along with Armando Borja and defender Issa Kabore.
