Aston Villa fans have been reacting to Nottingham Forest's decision to extend Steve Cooper's contract ahead of Monday's Premier League clash.
The Reds boss has penned fresh terms at the club until 2025 after entering the final year of his two-year deal signed little over a year ago.
Cooper had come under heavy pressure following five straight defeats in the Premier League. The 4-0 loss at Leicester City on Monday saw Forest drop to the foot of the table.

The news has been welcomed by Forest fans, with one suggesting the extension is the 'signing of the season'. Cooper will look to earn the Reds' their first win since August on Monday when they welcome Steven Gerrard's side to the City Ground.
Speaking on social media, Villa supporters have been discussing their theory of the contract extension giving Forest a timely boost. Here is what they had to say...
SiAVFC: "Very good of Forest for backing Cooper by giving him a new contract. Could easily have panicked and got rid after a poor start but repaid him by getting them into Premier League after all this time. City Ground is gonna be bouncing on Monday, we need to be ready."
Luke Kitson: "Quite right, it should always have been Gerrard under serious question with a poor result Monday night. Can only see that happening now."
Oldmansaid: "Is there such a thing as 'new contract bounce'?"
Quimph: "Playing without the pressure of your manager's job being in your hands (or feet, rather) is quite liberating I would imagine. Whether that's a new person or a new contract. I expect Forest will play more relaxed on Monday."
DidierSocks: "Villa now in danger of being on the receiving end of Forest's current manager bounce."
Mr Thompson: "Smart move of Forest to give Cooper a new contract. Solidifies his position ahead of our game on Monday. Just got more difficult for Gerrard imo."
James Kent: "Just Villa's luck now Forest get Cooper to sign a new deal and we end up losing to them Monday... It's just so Villa."
