Nottingham Forest 'target' Leeds United transfer as winger locked in talks

Leeds United winger Crysencio Summerville is said to be drawing admirers from within the recruitment teams at Nottingham Forest and Sheffield United.

The 20-year-old tried to secure a loan move back in January but was not permitted the short-term departure by the Yorkshire outfit.

Leeds remain locked in talks with Summerville over an extension to his contract - which currently runs until 2023 - but the versatile winger is now gaining interest from Forest, the Blades and clubs overseas according to The Athletic.

Summerville can play on either wing and so could be seen as competition to Alex Mighten on the left-wing, or cover for Joe Lolley and Xande Silva on the right-wing following loanee Philip Zinckernagel's return to parent club Watford.

The young wide-man has found opportunities hard to come by in the Premier League having fallen down the pecking order behind Raphinha, Jack Harrison and Daniel James under both Marcelo Bielsa and then Jesse Marsch.

The Netherlands youth international has proved more prolific at youth level over the past two years, however. He has scored 12 goals and contributed six assists in 26 appearances, including six this term as the Whites finished 13th in the Premier League 2 Division 1 standings.
