Nottingham Forest star vows 'it is not over yet' and sets out Premier League survival plan

Nottingham Forest defender Felipe has vowed "it is not over yet" as the Reds fight to retain their Premier League status.

Forest suffered a 2-0 defeat to Aston Villa on Saturday, a result which leaves Steve Cooper's men in the relegation zone with eight games left to play.

Felipe, who joined Forest from Atletico Madrid in the January transfer window, played the full 90 minutes of the defeat to Villa. NottinghamshireLive's Sarah Clapson wrote of his performance: "One of few players to really emerge with credit from this poor run of form. Did really well again and continues to give his all. Rating: 7/10."

On his Instagram page after the match, he has sent a positive message to his teammates and supporters.

“May the defeats of life not be a reason for discouragement," he wrote in Portuguese, translated to English. "Fight today and always as that is how you become a winner!

Underneath, he added: "Painful moment after yesterday's defeat, but it's not over yet.”
