Nottingham Forest left-back Renan Lodi continues to be left out of the Brazil national team despite leaving Atlético Madrid on loan last month.
The 24-year-old has started the Reds ' last two matches against Manchester City and Bournemouth since arriving at the City Ground for the season. While still in the Spanish capital, Lodi featured on the bench twice for Diego Simeone's side but remained an unused substitute against Getafe and Villarreal.
Those two cameos were clearly not enough to convince Brazil boss Tite that the defender merited a recall, with Juventus pair Alex Sandro and Danilo as well as Manchester United loanee Alex Telles now at Sevilla favoured instead.

The 15-cap international most recently featured in a squad last November for a double-header against Argentina and Colombia but didn't add to his total after warming the bench throughout both matches. In fact, Lodi's last appearance was in the 2021 Copa America final against Lionel Messi and company, starting the 1-0 defeat, which turned out to be his final appearance to date.
