Nottingham Forest reportedly "opted against" loaning full-back Richie Laryea out to Hull City in favour of a return to Toronto FC for the Canada international.
Laryea made the move back to Major League Soccer earlier this month, just under seven months after signing during the January transfer window. The right-back made his second MLS debut over the weekend and was on form, assisting two Toronto goals as they edged a 4-3 thriller against Nashville SC.
The full-back made just five appearances under head coach Steve Cooper during the second half of last season's Championship promotion campaign. Just one of these was from the start, on the final day of the season at Hull's MKM Stadium, and Laryea appears to have impressed the hosts.

Our sister site HullLive report that talks with the Reds were held earlier this summer about Laryea, but that Forest opted against a Championship loan in favour of an MLS move. Should a move have materialised, then the full-back would have found a familiar face on Humberside in Tobias Figueiredo, who joined Hull on a free transfer after his contract at the City Ground expired at the end of June.
Familiarity in Ontario ahead of a first World Cup for Canada in 36 years coming up later this year will have no doubt been a factor from Lareya's perspective about such a switch this summer. The 27-year-old defender has won 30 caps for his country over the last three years and will be hoping to add to that tally in Qatar.
