Cooper message
Moving into the top six hasn’t even merited a mention at Nottingham Forest’s training ground since Wednesday night’s win at Blackburn Rovers.
And boss Steve Cooper has emphasised that breaking into the play-off spots should not be classed as an achievement.
The Reds went sixth with their 2-0 victory at Ewood Park in midweek, having risen from bottom of the league back when Cooper arrived in September.
But the Welshman has stressed that if his team are to have a shot at securing promotion, they have to stay focused on the task in hand - starting with trying to pick up three points at home to Stoke City tomorrow.
Davis decision
Aston Villa boss Steven Gerrard says the future of Keinan Davis will be assessed in the summer, as he continues to keep tabs on the striker’s form for Nottingham Forest.
Davis has quickly made an impact for the Reds after joining on loan on the first day of the January transfer window.
He has netted twice in seven appearances and put in an outstanding display in midweek at Blackburn Rovers, weighing in with a fantastic assist for James Garner’s opener in the 2-0 win.
With Lewis Grabban expected to be sidelined for two months, the 23-year-old can be a key player for Steve Cooper’s side in the remainder of the campaign - and plenty of Forest fans have already expressed a wish for him to stay beyond that.
Transfer talk
Nottingham Forest are among a number of clubs said to be keeping tabs on versatile AFC Wimbledon midfielder Jack Rudoni.
The 20-year-old has been in fine form for the struggling League One side so far this season and was the subject of speculation about his future in January.
The transfer window might now be closed, but it seems interest in the youngster is only continuing to grow ahead of the summer.
TEAMtalk report the Dons “are braced” to lose him at the end of the campaign, with a whole host of suitors likely to be fighting to secure his signature.
Lowe recovery
Defender Max Lowe says he was keen to stay at Nottingham Forest for his rehabilitation as he made his way back from injury.
While loanees sometimes return to their parent clubs for treatment, rather than head back to Sheffield United, the left-back remained at the City Ground when he suffered a groin problem.
Lowe was sidelined for two months after suffering the injury in the 1-1 draw at Reading in November, but was eager to still feel part of the Forest squad.
And since making his comeback last month, he has pretty much picked up from where he left off, showing the consistent form which has made him a key figure for the Reds.
