Nottingham Forest 'scout' in-demand League One ace ahead of summer transfer window

Nottingham Forest are among a number of clubs said to be keeping tabs on versatile AFC Wimbledon midfielder Jack Rudoni.

The 20-year-old has been in fine form for the struggling League One side so far this season and was the subject of speculation about his future in January.

The transfer window might now be closed, but it seems interest in the youngster is only continuing to grow ahead of the summer.

TEAMtalk report the Dons “are braced” to lose him at the end of the campaign, with a whole host of suitors likely to be fighting to secure his signature.

The Reds are said to have scouted Rudoni this year, along with Championship rivals Fulham, Luton Town, Swansea City, West Bromwich Albion and Hull City.

A trio of top-flight teams have also been linked, as Leeds United, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Burnley are reportedly monitoring his progress.

Last month, it was claimed Sunderland and Barnsley had approaches rejected for the rising talent.

Able to play in a number of different positions in midfield and attack, Rudoni has netted seven goals in 35 appearances in all competitions this season.

After initially being at Crystal Palace, the in-demand star came up through the ranks at Wimbledon and made his debut in September 2019. He has also had loan spells at Conrinthian-Casuals and Tonbridge Angels.

The summer window will likely see plenty of changes at Forest, regardless of what division Steve Cooper’s side find themselves in, with a few contracts expiring and loan players set to return to their parent clubs.
