Nottingham Forest will reportedly pursue permanent deals for both Dean Henderson and Renan Lodi when the summer transfer window opens after securing Premier League safety.
The Reds confirmed their place in the top division next season thanks to a 1-0 win over Arsenal on Saturday afternoon. Taiwo Awoniyi’s only goal of the game provided Forest with what was the all important three points.
The full time whistle sparked scenes of celebration at the City Ground. But it wasn’t only in Nottingham the win was celebrated, with Arsenal’s loss confirming Manchester City as Premier League champions for the third season in a row.

While celebrations may still go on until the end of the season - Forest can now enjoy the final game against Crystal Palace - preparations for the new campaign will already be taking place.
According to the Telegraph , concentration this summer is on a ‘clear recruitment strategy’ in order to continue to improve the squad. It seems that plans are already in place for four of Forest’s players this season.
The report says that Jesse Lingard, who signed a one-year deal last summer, will depart the club as a free agent, allowing him to join another side on a free transfer. Goalkeeper Keylor Navas will also return to Paris Saint-Germain after spending the second half of the season on loan at the City Ground.
Forest are however said to be ready to ‘pursue’ a permanent deal for Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson, with the player open to a move. It could however depend on United’s situation with David De Gea.
Another loanee who Forest are said to be keen to make permanent is Atletico Madrid’s Renan Lodi. The Reds do have an option to make the move permanent for £25 million, but the club are said to be keen to try and reduce that when the window opens.
Henderson has been out of action with a calf injury since January, and has since undergone surgery but should be back in time for pre-season. Lodi, meanwhile played a total of 27 Premier League games for the club this season, including starting all of the last seven.
