Nottingham Forest star Brennan Johnson has reportedly withdrawn from the Wales' squad following a groin injury.
The 21-year-old had been selected by Rob Page for Wales' Euro 2024 qualifying matches against Croatia and Latvia this month. However, a groin injury he picked up in Forest's 3-1 defeat at Tottenham earlier this month, forced him to drop out of the squad, according to The Athletic.
Johnson still featured for Forest in their home defeat to Newcastle the following week, however, did not link up with the Wales team before their departure to Split today (Friday). Wales' opening fixture against Croatia on Saturday will be their first since Gareth Bale hung up his boots.

Although Johnson will be a huge miss for Page's side, the extent of his injury will likely serve as a worry for both Wales and Forest. The Reds face a number of key fixtures after the international break in their bid to avoid Premier League relegation.
