Nottingham Forest fans have given their reaction to the news that away fans will not be permitted for the pre-season friendly against PSV Eindhoven.
The Reds take on the Dutch side on July 30 as part of their pre-season preparations for the new season. Many fans had already made plans to attend the game, but could now face losing money after the decision made by the Dutch authorities.
In a statement Forest wrote: “Nottingham Forest has been informed that away tickets for the club’s pre-season friendly against PSV Eindhoven in the Netherlands on July 30 will no longer be made available.

“The ruling has been enforced by Dutch authorities despite every attempt by Nottingham Forest to overturn the decision. Whilst fans will be disappointed, the fixture will be streamed on Forest TV.”
Following the update, Reds’ fans took to social media to give their response to the decision. While some showed their anger, others are making other plans for time in the Netherlands.
Jellybaby : That’s so poor, Left it so late and hundreds of fans have already booked hotels and flights! What next? #nffc
Premier League Reds : Surely the ones who booked flights/hotels already will just be in the home end which is surely worse for the Dutch police? #NFFC
Archie Limb : Nice one, I’ll cancel the non refundable hotel and transport
Max : it’s a pre season game what are they expecting to happen
Mark Attridge : I think those of who have paid for flights and accommodation we still go and set a real example. We create the London Bridge/Palace atmosphere and have a friendly party and show the Dutch Police they are wrong!
