Nottingham Forest receive Michail Antonio transfer response after West Ham comments

Former Nottingham Forest forward Michail Antonio has admitted there is a possibility he could leave West Ham this month.

The 32-year-old joined the Hammers in 2015 from the City Ground for £7million. Antonio made 54 appearances for the Reds and provided 34 goal contributions.

The Jamaica international went on to become the Hammers' top scorer in the Premier League in August 2021, but now reports suggest the club are open to selling him.

"Honestly, I've not ruled anything out. That's all I can say," he told The Footballer's Football Podcast. "Nothing has been ruled out.

"There are talks, so whatever happens, happens. It's just one of those things. I'm not saying goodbye, I'm saying basically, if it happens, it happens and if it doesn't, it doesn't."

His comments sparked talk on social media, with one Forest fan saying: "Bring him home," while a second added: "He would be perfect and just what Cooper would want, strong physically and is already familiar with the City Ground."

A third continued: "Come on NFFC, bring him home," and another claimed: "Would love him back at Forest." A fifth concluded: "I don't care what anyone says, Antonio can still do a job in the PL, just needs the right team."
