Nottingham Forest fans have given a lukewarm reaction to suggestions Jamaal Lascelles could be on his way back to the City Ground from Newcastle United.
After eight years on Tyneside, the central defender has made just eight appearances this season, with the Magpies reportedly willing to listen to offers for the 29-year-old. Forest and Wolves have both been credited with an interest in Lascelles.
Many Newcastle fans have spoken warmly of the player and his wider influence around the club and would wish him well if he moves on. The Reds, of course, have done recent business with the Magpies, having signed Chris Wood and Jonjo Shelvey during the January transfer window.

However, many Forest supporters are not convinced Lascelles is needed and insist the club can attract better players. Here’s a taste of what fans have been saying on social media…
Mark Brown: How many central defenders do we need in a squad of 25? 5? You cannot tell me that there are not more than 5 better players out there. We arguably already have them.
Stephen McCubbin: We've moved on from players like this. We sign players like Navas and Danilo now.
Chris Handley: He would be 6th choice.
Bryan Lylak: Don't need him back, never any good second time round.
Ian Coulson: No thanks, already have drift wood from there.
Steven Hill: Don’t need him. Can’t get into Newcastle side.
Steve Allen: Take Wood back and we might consider it.
Tony Pearson: Another player after a Forest Pension.
Chris Heathcote: No, don’t need him.
