Nottingham Forest receive Djed Spence response after Tottenham transfer claim

Nottingham Forest fans have had their say on a possible return to the City Ground for Djed Spence.

Spence, 22, was loaned to Forest for the 2021/22 season from Middlesborough and went on to start 38 games for the Reds as they secured promotion to the Premier League.

Despite being heavily linked with a return to Forest following their ascension to the top flight of English football, Spence completed a £12.7million move to join Tottenham Hotspur.

The right-back has struggled for game time since arriving in North London, though, with just three brief substitute appearances in the league to his name so far. This has prompted speculation that the player may pursue a move elsewhere in the upcoming January transfer window.

Indeed, Forest loanee Alan Hutton tipped Spence to find a new club in January as he goes in search of regular game time. Reds fans have had their say on a potential return for Spence here...

John Brownhill: Bored of it now. Get over it.

Rita Doan: Would love to see Spence back at Forest. His speed and skill on the left wing provided great opportunities for Johnson to score. They worked so well together and I feel this combination has been missing this season. Come home Jedd!!

Josh Jones: Not for me. We have moved on. Hope he finds the right team to show his worth.

Liam Masey: He doesn’t take Aurier out the team for me so would be a pointless loan.

Michael Boxy Box: Don't think it will happen.

Richard Grantham: Such a huge talent, dying to show the premier league what he's capable of. Please bring him back on a permanent basis.

psk957: Come home Djed. Definitely sign him permanently if possible.

Hertsred1: No.
