Nottingham Forest Premier League fixtures 2023/24 - Steve Cooper's schedule for the new campaign

Nottingham Forest will open their 2023/24 Premier League season with a mouthwatering clash away to Arsenal.

It was the Reds’ 1-0 win over the Gunners at the City Ground which clinched survival with a game to spare last term. They will head to the Emirates Stadium to take on Mikel Arteta’s side on the opening weekend this time around, with a 12.30pm kick-off on Saturday, August 12.

As they look to push on in the top-flight this season, Steve Cooper’s men face a tricky start. Their away form was a real Achilles’ heel in 2022/23, with just eight points picked up on their travels. Improvement is required, but with three of their first four games away from home, Forest have a tough test early on.

A meeting with newly-promoted Sheffield United represents their first match Trentside, on Saturday, August 19. But in addition to visiting Arsenal, they have trips to Manchester United (Saturday, August 26) and Chelsea (Saturday, September 2) early on. Not to mention travelling to the Etihad on Saturday, September 23 for a clash with champions Manchester City.

The Reds will hope to avoid a nervy finish to the campaign. They are away to newly-promoted Burnley on the final day - Sunday, May 19, 4pm kick-off.

April sees them host Fulham, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Pep Guardiola’s team, with trips to Tottenham Hotspur and Everton also scheduled. In May, they face the Blades at Bramall Lane, with Chelsea at home in their penultimate match.
