Nottingham Forest eye relegated goalkeeper after Tottenham transfer blow

Nottingham Forest have reportedly reignited their interest in Sampdoria goalkeeper Emil Audero after missing out on another target to Tottenham Hotspur.

Forest were linked with a move for Guglielmo Vicario from Empoli, but the stopper instead joined Tottenham this week for £17million. As a result, the Reds may have turned their attentions back to Audero.

The 26-year-old was linked with a move to Forest in the January transfer window, before the club instead signed Keylor Navas on loan from Paris Saint-Germain. Since then, he has continued to be linked with a move to the City Ground.

Man Utd make David de Gea decision amid Dean Henderson Nottingham Forest wait

Manchester United are reportedly still in discussions with David de Gea over extending his contract amid Nottingham Forest's interest in signing Dean Henderson.

That's according to talkSPORT who claim that United could look at keeping De Gea in their books. The Spaniard's deal officially expired today after 12 years at Old Trafford.

De Gea initially agreed terms on a new contract which included a lower salary before the club reportedly backed out. United have also reportedly held talks with Inter Milan over Andre Onana, with the Serie A outfit demanding €50million (£43m) plus add-ons for his signature.

Premier League plan major change that will impact Nottingham Forest

The Premier League are reportedly planning to offer live television coverage of every Sunday match beginning from the 2024/25 season.

Typically, only a small number of games are broadcast live on a Sunday. But that is reportedly set to be changed, with a plan to increase the number of games shown live.

As it stands, 200 games per season are broadcast and if the plan goes ahead, that total will increase to 270. Teams competing in the Europa League will reportedly net payments of around £1million per match when they are in action on Sundays.

The onset of July means we can finally say Nottingham Forest are back in action this month.

After a well-deserved break, the focus now turns to the 2023/24 campaign for Steve Cooper's side. It is a big summer for the head coach and his players as they aim to push on in the Premier League.

Friendlies are an important part of their preparations, providing an opportunity to build up fitness and to integrate new signings when they arrive. Plans have been put in place for the Reds' pre-season programme, with a number of matches scheduled.
