Nottingham Forest old boy spotted back in training amid West Brom transfer talk

Former Nottingham Forest club captain Lewis Grabban has been photographed training in Dubai following his release by the Reds earlier this summer.

The 34-year-old engaged in talks with the Reds over a new contract, but an agreement was not reached, and Grabban left the club at the end of his contract in the middle of last month. Despite scoring 13 goals and assisting another four last season, the striker remains a free agent and without a club as the end of August is approaching.

West Bromwich Albion are reportedly in talks with the former Bournemouth forward as Steve Bruce looks to bolster his attacking options. Ahead of any move as deadline day approaches, Grabban has been enjoying some warm-weather training.

In photos posted on Instagram by self-described elite sports performance specialist Chris Bowman, Grabban is shown slaloming through poles and running without a football. Bowman's account shows he has worked with England international Declan Rice and former Forest players Matty Cash and Zach Clough earlier this summer.

The post's caption reads: "A good few weeks work capped off for Lewis Grabban here in Dubai, fresh from captaining NFFC back to the Premier League for the first time in over two decades. Wishing the best of luck to Grabbs on the next chapter."
