Fenerbahce could reignite their interest in Nottingham Forest defender Loic Mbe Soh in January.
The Turkish side made a late push to sign the 21-year-old before their transfer window closed last Thursday. But although a deal didn’t come off, it seems they still haven’t given up hope of securing his signature at some point.
Reports in Turkey say the club have “already started their work” for the winter window. According to Fanatik, their focus will be on two players who had been on their radar but who they did not sign in the summer - with Mbe Soh identified as one, along with fellow centre-back Adamo Nagalo, who plays for Danish outfit Nordsjaelland.

It is said Mbe Soh’s situation will continue to be closely monitored. And if manager Jorge Jesus gives the nod, “overtime will be spent recruiting either Mbe Soh or Nagalo”.
Game time is likely to be limited for Mbe Soh at Forest this season. He has struggled to break into the first-team since joining from PSG two years ago, and finds himself down the pecking order again after a summer recruitment drive at the City Ground.
Boss Steve Cooper has strengthened his defensive ranks, giving him a number of options when it comes to selecting his back line. Moussa Niakhate - who is currently injured - Willy Boly and Loic Bade were brought in during the transfer window, with fellow summer signings Giulian Biancone and Cheikhou Kouyate also able to play at centre-back.
Joe Worrall, Scott McKenna and Steve Cook remain on the books from last season, as well as Mbe Soh. And Jonathan Panzo is spending the campaign on loan at Coventry City.
Mbe Soh was on the bench for games against Newcastle United and West Ham United, but dropped out of the match day squad as more signings arrived. He did, however, play the full 90 minutes of the Reds’ 3-0 Carabao Cup victory over Grimsby Town last month.
It has been claimed Fenerbahce’s “indecisiveness” led to a last-minute move to Turkey falling through. The Frenchman was reportedly “tired of being kept waiting” after a period of silence from the club following an initial show of interest.
