Nottingham Forest are reportedly looking to insert an obligation to buy clause in Lewis O'Brien's contract should he depart on loan.
The 24-year-old has fallen down the pecking order at the City Ground following his summer move from Huddersfield Town. Given the imminent arrival of Jonjo Shelvey from Newcastle, O'Brien will be restricted with further game time.
O'Brien is claimed to be on the West Bromwich Albion's radar with Carlos Corberan potentially eyeing a reunion with the player. The midfielder played a key role for Corberan during his time at Huddersfield. Sheffield United have also been linked.

Although Forest would be willing to do business and let O'Brien leave on loan, according to BBC journalist Simon Stone, the club are looking to insert a £10million obligation to buy clause in his deal. Despite Albion's interest, they "couldn't commit to that given their league position."
Forest paid Huddersfield a joint £10m fee to sign both O'Brien and Harry Toffolo in the summer.
