Defender Max Lowe has suggested he would like to stay at Nottingham Forest beyond the end of his loan spell in the summer.
The Sheffield United loanee is spending the season at the City Ground, having made the move last August, and says he is enjoying his time at the club.
Aside from a couple of months when he was out injured, Lowe has been a regular starter and a consistent performer for the Reds, with his left wing-back spot key to how boss Steve Cooper likes to play.
Blades manager Paul Heckingbottom recently said a call would need to be made over his left-backs at the end of the campaign, given Rhys Norrington-Davis and Enda Stevens are also on the books.
And Lowe says he has made clear to Forest “how much I want to stay” on the banks of the Trent.
“I’m loving it. I haven’t had a bad day since I came into the building, to be honest, other than when I was injured,” he told NottinghamshireLive.
“Not just myself, all the loan lads, we all want to stay here. We’re all loving it. Keinan (Davis) loves it. We all speak so highly about the club and the fans.
“I just don’t take any day for granted, being with the gaffer and the staff. Everyone here has been really nice. Long may that continue.”
Asked if that means he has thought about what his future might hold at the end of this term, the 24-year-old added: “I appreciate the way I’m getting treated as a player and as a person.
“I can’t look beyond this season, but I’m happy playing football at Forest at the moment. The gaffer knows that, and everyone at the club knows how much I want to stay.
“But that’s not in my hands, so I’m just going to keep playing as well as I can each week and do my part to help the team.
“There’s definitely a lot to play for. Say at the end of the season I do end up going back to Sheffield United, I want this to be one of the best seasons in my career so far, so it needs to finish on a high.
“We’ve got our goals set, with the FA Cup and the league - we want to try to do as well as we can in both of them.”
