Nottingham Forest live Q&A - transfers, Gustavo Scarpa, friendly defeat

Nottingham Forest have little more than a week - and one more friendly - to go before they are back in competitive action.

The Reds have returned from a winter camp in Greece, which they rounded off with a 1-0 defeat to fellow Evangelos Marinakis-owned side Olympiacos on Saturday. They also played a behind closed doors match against Atromitos and spent time bonding as a squad, as well as doing valuable work on the training ground in preparation for the second half of the season.

With the resumption of the Premier League fast approaching, it means there is plenty to talk about in our weekly Forest webchat. Reds reporter Sarah Clapson will be in the hot seat from noon, answering your questions and responding to comments.

Steve Cooper’s side travel to face Valencia on Friday, for what is their final match before the campaign resumes. After that, attention will turn to a Carabao Cup tie against Blackburn Rovers, with a visit to Manchester United to come as Forest’s first league fixture following the World Cup break.

Are you confident Cooper’s men can pick up where they left off last month? How are you feeling about the second half of the season? Who should start at Old Trafford? How much of a blow is it to lose Cheikhou Kouyate to injury?

And with the January window around the corner, what transfer business should the club do? Are you excited about the addition of Gustavo Scarpa?

You can have your say on the above topics and any others which spring to mind in our live Q&A. Submit any questions or comments in the comments section below.

Feel free to get them in early. You can then join the debate when Sarah’s webchat goes live at 12pm.
