Gareth Bale's penalty against the United States in their opening clash proved to be their only goal across their three games in Qatar. That 1-1 draw was followed by a dramatic last-gasp 2-0 defeat to Iran and a 3-0 loss to England on Tuesday night.

Nevertheless, reaching the finals for the first time since 1958 marked a huge achievement from the boys in red. And the strong Forest presence within the squad could play a huge role in the future of the team moving forward.
Forest posted a message of support on Instagram, as they captioned a picture of Williams in action against England with the word "proud" following the defeat to Gareth Southgate's men.
