Nottingham Forest are "interested in" Atalanta midfielder Remo Freuler.
The 30-year-old is "one of the targets on the list" for head coach Steve Cooper, though nothing has been agreed as of yet. The links come after it was said Forest want three more players this summer, including a Dutch striker.
Freuler is an experienced midfielder who has made 260 appearances for Atalanta since he moved to Italy in 2016. He has played at least 40 games across all competitions in each of the last five season for the Serie A side.

The Switzerland international, described as an all-round central midfielder, is now the subject of interest from Forest, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.
On Wednesday evening, Romano tweeted: "Nottingham Forest are interested in Swiss midfielder Remo Freuler. Talks ongoing with Atalanta, still nothing agreed but he’s one of the targets in the list. #NFFC. Forest are also working for a new left back."
Cooper is looking to stack his central midfield options, with Ryan Yates, Orel Mangala, Lewis O'Brien, Jack Colback and Braian Ojeda already at his disposal, though the latter is likely to leave on loan. According to reports, a striker and a left-back are also on his list.
