Nottingham Forest are one of two Premier League clubs showing an interest in a summer transfer for Sporting Clube de Portugal winger Nuno Santos, according to reports in Portugal.
Despite uncertainty over which league the club will be playing in next season, plans will already be in place for the summer transfer window. The side will have targets in mind for both the Premier League and the Championship next season.
According to OJogo (via SportWitness ), one of the targets if they do achieve survival is Santos, although the club would face competition from Wolverhampton Wanderers with both clubs following the player ‘for a long time'.

It is said that despite having a release clause of €60 million in his contract, Sporting are looking for a much lower fee should they decide to cash in this summer. The Portuguese giants are reported to be looking for a price of ‘less than €15m'.
The 28-year-old has scored eight goals and provided a further five assists in 28 appearances in the league so far this season. The winger also scored one in six appearances in the Champions League.
It is said that Forest and Wolves would face competition from around Europe, with the two clubs not the only ones ‘in the running’ to sign the player. It is claimed that Eintracht Frankfurt, Nice and Torino are all also showing an interest ahead of the summer transfer window.
Forest currently sit in 16th place in the Premier League, three points clear of the relegation zone with three games left to play. The Reds face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in their next outing, and go into the game knowing that any points would stop them dropping into the bottom three at the end of the weekend.
Both Leeds and Leicester City in 19th and 18th respectively are three points behind Forest in the table, with both teams having a better goal difference than Steve Cooper ’s side.
