Here's a round-up of the latest Nottingham Forest news on Saturday, July 8.
Forest ‘open talks’ over City transfer
Nottingham Forest have reportedly opened talks with Leicester City over a summer transfer for Kelechi Iheanacho, with the Nigerian at the ‘top of the list’.
The striker has been with Leicester since joining the club from Manchester City in the summer of 2017. He has just one year remaining on his contract at the King Power Stadium, meaning that the club could be prepared to sell the player instead of losing him for nothing next year.
As reported by French journalist Santi Aouna , Forest have ‘opened talks’ to sign Iheanacho this summer. He adds that the Reds want to ‘close the deal in the next days’.

Lodi update as clubs ‘in talks’
Nottingham Forest are reportedly ‘in talks’ with Atletico Madrid to sign last season’s loanee Renan Lodi on a permanent deal this summer.
The Brazilian spent last season on loan at the City Ground, and played a key part in the team’s survival in the Premier League. The full-back made a total of 32 appearances in all competitions for the club and impressed with his performances, so much so, that the Reds are keen to make the deal permanent.
Forest did have an option to make the deal permanent in the loan agreement for around €25 million (£21.4m), but that expired before the end of the season.
Gibbs-White sends three word response to Henderson Man Utd message
Nottingham Forest midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White is among those to respond to a message from Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson on his return to training.
The former Forest loanee is back on the training pitch after undergoing surgery towards the end of last season. Injury cut short his season-long loan at Forest, with the Reds completing the loan signing of Keylor Navas from Paris Saint-Germain as a replacement.
Both have now returned to their parent clubs, but Steve Cooper is keen to make a permanent move for Henderson this summer after he impressed in the first half of last season. Uncertainty over the goalkeeper situation at Old Trafford has put doubt on a move.
Forest receive response after PSV friendly update
Nottingham Forest fans have given their reaction to the news that away fans will not be permitted for the pre-season friendly against PSV Eindhoven.
The Reds take on the Dutch side on July 30 as part of their pre-season preparations for the new season. Many fans had already made plans to attend the game, but could now face losing money after the decision made by the Dutch authorities.
In a statement Forest wrote: “Nottingham Forest has been informed that away tickets for the club’s pre-season friendly against PSV Eindhoven in the Netherlands on July 30 will no longer be made available.
