Nottingham Forest are reportedly ‘in talks’ over a potential transfer for Brighton and Hove Albion striker Neal Maupay as Steve Cooper looks to add Premier League experience to his squad.
Forest have been one of the most active teams in the summer transfer window this summer, adding 12 new faces to their squad so far in the transfer window. And it seems that their transfer business isn’t done there.
The Reds are also closing in on deals for Watford’s Emmanuel Dennis as well as former Crystal Palace man Cheikhou Kouyate. Atalanta midfielder Remo Freuler is also close to a €9 million switch.

According to the Telegraph , Forest are now ‘in talks’ over a move for Maupay, with the striker expected to be left out of the Seagulls’ squad to take on Newcastle United this afternoon (Saturday). The report adds that the player would cost £15 million if a deal is completed.
The 25-year-old has been with Brighton for the last three seasons but was an unused substitute for the Premier League opener against Manchester United last week. It was a game Brighton won 2-1 at Old Trafford.
Maupay scored nine goals in 35 appearances in all competitions last season and has nagged a total of 26 goals in 102 appearances in the Premier League. His arrival would add more competition to attacking areas for Steve Cooper.
Forest have already completed the signing of Taiwo Awoniyi from Union Berlin. They needed to add attacking players following the departure of Lewis Grabban and Keinan Davis, who has since joined Championship side Watford on loan.
