Nottingham Forest’s Sam Surridge has been linked with a transfer to Leeds United.
The 24-year-old forward’s future at the City Ground is in doubt this summer after he started only one Premier League match last season.
Surridge played a big part in the Reds’ promotion back to the top-flight via the Championship play-offs last year, but spent most of last season on the subs’ bench, making 19 substitute league appearances.

He also has only one year left on his contract with Forest, which has only heightened speculation over his future.
The Athletic report Leeds have an interest in Surridge as an “alternative target” to Swansea’s Joel Piroe, who appears to be their top target and is said to be attracting a lot of interest.
Our Forest reporter Sarah Clapson was asked about Surridge’s future in her latest Q&A with Forest fans.
“It’s a tricky one,” she said. “Heart says Forest should keep him, but head says it makes sense to let him go.
"The fact he’s got 12 months left on his deal will no doubt be a factor in any decision. He’s had Championship interest in him before, but was really keen, at the time, to stay at Forest and fight for his place.
"I think he was really unfortunate not to have had more of a chance last season. He deserved more minutes.
"Forest do want to strengthen up front, but they also need to make sure they have sufficient options in place. They can’t leave themselves too short in that area.
"I think Surridge could still do a job and would be a decent option to have. He always looked bright and lively when he came on, and he always worked his socks off. He wouldn’t be a starter, but he still has something to offer from off the bench.
"But from a business perspective, it would make sense to look to get some money for him at this point. If not, Forest risk seeing him leave for nothing next summer - unless they offer him fresh terms, which doesn’t appear likely at the moment.”
