Nottingham Forest gesture revealed as Brice Samba sent timely reminder

Good morning, Reds fans! Here are your latest Nottingham Forest headline's after the weekend's 2-2 draw with Stoke City...

Miltiadis Marinakis and Forest make classy gesture to help bullied fan

Nottingham Forest invited a young fan to the City Ground as a guest of Miltiadis Marinakis to show support after it was revealed he was being bullied at school.

Freddie, who lives in Nottingham, was given the VIP treatment at Forest's Championship clash with Stoke City on Saturday at the City Ground.

His mum Fran had taken to social media earlier this month to speak out about her son's plight.

She posted: "No worse feeling as a parent than when your kid is being bullied. he’s so sad I really don’t know how to cheer him up.

Steve Cooper's comments that will have Brice Samba concerned and Ethan Horvath happy

Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Brice Samba will be looking over his shoulder concerned that he could soon be replaced as the number one shot-stopper.

Samba, who has often acted as a pantomime villain with his game management antics, went one step too far yesterday when he collided with Steven Fletcher in the final moments of the Reds ' clash with Stoke City.

Referee Leigh Doughty made no hesitation in sending off the shot-stopper and, with Forest having made all three substitutions, defender Joe Worrall was forced to take the gloves.

Despite Worrall conceding Lewis Baker's 88th-minute penalty, the Reds salvaged a point thanks to Ryan Yates' stoppage time header.

Every word Forest boss Cooper said on dramatic draw, red card and Alex Mighten

Ryan Yates came off the bench to rescue a point for 10-man Nottingham Forest against Stoke City at the City Ground.

The Reds took the lead through Brennan Johnson, only to be pegged back by Josh Maja's goal from a corner.

And they were then dealt another blow when goalkeeper Brice Samba was issued a straight red card in the 85th minute for swiping Phil Jagielka around the back of the head inside the area.

Joe Worrall stepped in goal but was unable to stop Lewis Baker's subsequent penalty, leaving the Potters looking on course to claim the three points.

Here's what Steve Cooper had to say.

The silly moment Samba must learn from as Forest show fighting spirit

But there will also be plenty of frustration - at the visitors’ equaliser, at the red card and at not imposing themselves on a scrappy match in the manner they would have liked. Frustration, too, at the referee, who did not help matters.

The Reds were far from at their best; they looked leggy. Maybe a few more team changes could have been beneficial, on the back of the exertions against Leicester City and Blackburn Rovers
