Nottingham Forest flop linked with permanent transfer ahead of Man Utd clash

Former Nottingham Forest defender Loic Bade has been linked with a permanent transfer to Sevilla after impressing during his loan spell at the Spanish club.

The reports come after a difficult spell at the Reds who the 23-year-old joined on loan from French club Stade Rennes last summer.

But the Frenchman was unable to settle in at the City Ground after failing to make a single competitive appearance for Steve Cooper's side. His loan spell at Forest was terminated early at the end of last year.

Since joining Sevilla and January, Bade has been a mainstay in the La Liga sides defence having made 11 appearances for the Spanish side this season. He has also played the full 90 minutes of their last five league matches.

And ahead of Thursday's Europa League clash with Manchester United, the defender looks set to join Sevilla on a permanent deal in the summer according to Estadio Deportivo and in quotes translated by SportWitness.

They claim that there will be 'no hesitation’ in signing him. They explain that if it were up to Sevilla fans, they would have paid the transfer fee for him on Sunday after the clash against Valencia, where the French defender put in arguably his best performance to date during the 2-0 win.

It is also claimed that the fee is set at €12m (around £10m) with the Spanish side also having paid €250,000 (roughly £220,000) in January for the sixth-month loan deal.
