Nottingham Forest have been credited with an interest in Southampton striker Che Adams, with the Reds said to be among a number of clubs looking at the forward this summer.
Steve Cooper has added 12 new players to his squad over the summer transfer window so far, but is still keen to add more strength as he prepares his side for the club’s first season in the Premier League in 23 years.
Forest have been linked with a number of new strikers over the last few days as the club look to add more firepower. The latest name to be mentioned is Adams, who has experience in the Premier League.

The 26-year-old made a total of 30 appearances for Southampton in the league last season, scoring seven goals. He has been with the club since joining from Championship side Birmingham City back in the summer of 2019.
According to the Telegraph’s Mike McGrath , the Saints have now ‘received an approach’ for the forward, although it is not said who the approach is from. However, Forest are then named as one of the clubs who are showing an interest in the player this summer.
Adams is originally from the midlands, having started his career at Leicestershire side Oadby Town. Therefore a move back closer to home could potentially appeal to him.
The Scotland international has two years remaining on his contract at Southampton. Previous reports have claimed that Adams would cost in the region of £10million.
Forest have already added a striker in Taiwo Awoniyi for £17.5million earlier this summer, but are likely to be on the lookout for another forward before the window closes. Club captain Lewis Grabban left at the end of his contract, while loanee Keinan Davis has returned to parent club Aston Villa.
Davis reportedly remains an option for Forest and Villa are willing to sell him. The striker has been suffering with an injury during pre-season, but he has now regained fitness and returned to training.
