Nottingham Forest fans go ballistic at 'scandalous' decision as Reds suffer double Sheffield United woe

Nottingham Forest fans have blasted the decision not to award the Reds a penalty during the first half of their Championship clash at Sheffield United.

TV footage showed Blades defender Femi Seriki pulling the shirt of Keinan Davis in the area, but a spot-kick was not given.

But Forest were eventually awarded a penalty when Djed Spence was fouled in the area only for Brennan Johnson to miss from 12 yards.

The decision not to give Davis a penalty, however, angered Reds fans and here's what they had to say on Twitter.

Chris Beecroft: "Penalty all day. Officials continue to be scandalous in this league."

Forest til I die: "Scandalous."

Forest are magic: "Ref is having a mare."

John Michael Whittle: "When did they rename "penalty to Forest" to "play on"?"

Alex Iskander Liew: "A clear shirt pull in the box on Keinan and he (ref) misses it. But when Sharp falls over by a feather touch, he blows for a freekick!"

The Badger: "How the hell was that not given?"
