Nottingham Forest supporters have been making their transfer suggestions ahead of the summer transfer window opening.
At this stage of the season, now that January is firmly in the rearview mirror, it begins to become clearer what players could be available on free transfers as their contracts expire during the upcoming off-season.
More than 160 Championship players are on course to be entering free agency in four months, including Millwall's Jed Wallace, who the Reds were interested in signing during the January window.
Another target, Blackpool's Josh Bowler, is also on the list, though his contract includes an option to extend the deal by another year.
With loanees set to return and five Forest players also on expiring deals, here is a selection of the suggestions from our Forest Facebook page to plug these potential holes.
Joe Frost: Bowler and Wallace for free would be great considering we were going to pay millions for them last window.
Osborn as a squad addition would be shrewd business.
Paul Stan Smith: I would have Billy Sharp all day long despite his age he deffo knows where the goal is, a great player and he hates Derby.
Yiannakis Yianni: Right now, at this moment I really doubt that the owners and board are thinking about free agents for the summer window!
Only should be concentrating on getting the position we are in the league strengthened as it's so tight.
Richard Ottaway: Always got to be careful with these, free transfers can also be mercenaries running down their contracts in pursuit of higher wages.
That said Josh Bowler will likely resurface and if we don’t get promotion and lose Garner, we’ll need a similar dynamo, maybe Josh Laurent can fill his boots after being linked in the summer, player of the season for Reading last year
Dominic Pashley: Wouldn't mind, Josh Laurent, Bowler, Wallace and I'd bring Osborn back too! Can play LB, LWB and CM
Andrew John Parr: Diaz sounds like he would be OK.
Christophe Frost: Wallace for me.
Greg Oram: Feels like we’ve moved on from just picking up free agents tbh.
Jonathan Fairley: Would be interesting to know which of this list comply with our new recruitment policy.
Christophe Frost: Plus get Spence, Garner and Davis permanently.
Aiden Wain: Thought Jenkinson was knocking um in down under!
Robert Nettleship: Keogh?
Tim Johns: Bowler, Wallace and Swift be great.
Some supporters are less than sold on the prospect of defender Conor Goldson, who is in the same boat as the names mentioned above and set to depart Scottish Premiership champions Rangers this summer, arriving at the City Ground.
Ewan Forbes: He is one of the most overrated centre backs in Scottish football.
Disintegrates under pressure when challenged.
Sean Conneally: Honestly, he is so bad, no way would I want him anywhere near Forest…
Colin Bishop: Would be an excellent signing and a big loss to Rangers.
