Nottingham Forest fans have been reacting to the latest transfer, as defender Carl Jenkinson joined Melbourne City on loan for the rest of the season.
Jenkinson signed for the Reds from Arsenal back in 2019 following his eight-year spell with the Gunners.
He has since only gone on to make 15 appearances before becoming surplus to requirements at the City Ground.
"I’m excited to be joining a club that are the current Champions of Australia," Jenkinson told Melbourne's official website.
"I’ve heard a lot of good things about both Melbourne as a beautiful city, the professionalism of the Club and the quality of the league."
Patrick Kisnorbo's side are currently fourth in the A-League of Australian football.
This is how many Forest faithful have reacted to the 29-year-old's departure.
"Honestly forgotten we still had him," a Forest supporter said on Twitter.
Another added: "Was always going to be a nightmare the moment he was linked to us. Hopefully the end of these ‘pedigree’ signings with terrible injury/playing histories."
Here is the rest of the reaction...
Louis Ross: "Wenger gave him 5 years on 60K a week. It’s taken us another 5 years to recover from decisions like that."
Tom Selwyn: "Apparently still on 27k for us and I can't remember the last time I saw him play."
Wynbot: " When I said I want Jenkinson as far away from Forest as possible I didn’t think they would take it literally."
Anish: "Luckily we have Djed Spence as a back up."
Craig Moore: "Forgot we had him."
James J: "Let’s hope he’s double vaccinated otherwise he’ll be coming back on the next plane."
Chris: "Good luck Jenko, you deserve it."
JP: "Thank god."
Deeps: "He was still here?"
ForestMan: "A headline I'd never thought I'd see."
Riley: "How have we managed that?"
Joseph Knight: "Genuinely forgot this man existed."
Generational: "He really gone down under since leaving Arsenal...."
Leon T: "Best news I've heard this year."
Jonathan: "Dane deserves alot of credit for this alone."
Dan: "Our luck they will deport him back to us."
Sam: "Fantastic move for Carl to be fair."
