Nottingham Forest are not alone in their interest in Manchester City full-back Issa Kabore this summer, with Nice also said to be interested along with other Premier League clubs.
Steve Cooper is likely to be searching for a replacement for last season’s loanee Djed Spence. The 21-year-old is the subject of interest from fellow Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur with Antonio Conte’s men said to be in advanced talks for the wing-back.
One of the potential replacements for Forest is Man City’s Issa Kabore, who also impressed on loan last season. The 21-year-old spent the 2021/22 campaign on a temporary deal with Ligue 1 side Troyes where he played a total of 31 league games.

As first reported by NottinghamshireLive, Kabore has emerged as a top target for Forest this summer and they’re understood to have had at least one previous bid rejected by the Premier League Champions. The Guardian report that Forest remain in "talks" with Man City over a potential transfer, but do face competition for the full-back.
It is said that Ligue 1 side Nice are "engaged in talks" over taking the player back to France this season, while "several" Premier League clubs are also interested. Forest will therefore have to win the race for Kabore this summer.
The Burkina Faso international is not the only full-back to be linked with a move to the City Ground this summer. Forest have also reportedly had an opening bid of £11million for Neco Williams rejected by Liverpool.
It is said that the Reds are keen to get a fee of around £15million for the Wales international who is expected to leave Anfield in the next few weeks. It is still to be seen if Forest return with a second bid.
