Nottingham Forest are reportedly 'lining up' a move to sign Southampton striker Che Adams this summer.
The 25-year-old has been linked with the Reds during previous transfer windows, and that is the case again following the promotion back to the Premier League. Taiwo Awoniyi has already been signed for a club-record fee this summer and debuted up front during Friday's pre-season friendly against Coventry City.
Head coach Steve Cooper is, though, said to 'want more firepower', with Lyle Taylor and Nuno da Costa the other options to lead the line against the Sky Blues in Spain. Adams would assumedly jump both of these alternatives, both of whom were loaned out last season, in the pecking order.

Our colleagues at the Mirror report that a 'shock swoop' is set to be forthcoming from Forest for the Scotland international. It is added, however, that the Saints 'will fight' to keep their forward.
The Leicester-born striker has two years remaining on the five-year contract signed when making the step up from Championship side Birmingham City to the top-flight ahead of the 2019/20 season. Adams has scored 21 goals across more than 100 matches for the south coast club and has assisted another 12 in all competitions.
With club captain Lewis Grabban reportedly turning down a new contract and not featuring in the aforementioned friendly, Forest are all of a sudden left rather bare in attacking areas despite their sizeable outlay on Awoniyi. They have also apparently had an approach for Burnley's Maxwel Cornet rebuffed, which could see attention turning to Adams.
