Nottingham Forest exit confirmed as double transfer claim made

Taylor exit confirmed

Nottingham Forest striker Lyle Taylor has joined Birmingham City on loan until the end of the season.

The former Charlton forward is now in line to make his debut against Derby County on Sunday.

Taylor has found it hard to nail down a place in the Reds' starting 11 following the arrival of Keinan Davis from Aston Villa and the form of Lewis Grabban.

But he will be hoping for regular starts at Blues where he is reunited with his former Charlton manager, Lee Bowyer.

Forest striker Taylor was left out of the squad to face Barnsley on Tuesday night as the Reds cruised to a 3-0 win at the City Ground.

He leaves the Reds having scored three goals in 19 appearances for Forest this season.

Carvalho next to go?

Nottingham Forest playmaker Joao Carvalho has been pictured arriving in Greece as he looks to complete his move to Olympiacos.

The midfielder is set for the exit door after failing to command a regular place in the starting XI under head coach Steve Cooper.

And Greek media outlet FWS have printed a photograph of Carvalho heading off to complete his move which should be completed before the window shuts at midnight on Monday.

Cavalho has made just eight appearances for the Reds this season and with his first-team prospects looking bleak, his departure has now been reportedly sanctioned.

It is claimed that boss Pedro Martins has given the green light for the transfer to go ahead after initially putting the brakes on the move.

Hammers price claim

West Ham have reportedly put a £1million price tag on the head of Emmanuel Longelo if Nottingham Forest are to sign him before the deadline closes on Monday.

Reports earlier this week claimed the Reds were interested in the left-back as they continue to look at potential additions before the window shuts.

According to the EX-WHU employee, Forest have had a bid rejected of around £400,000 for the Iron's under-23 left-back with the Premier League side holding out for a six-figure fee.

Forest are currently short on viable left-back options with Max Lowe having just returned from injury which had seen midfielder Jack Colback play that position in his absence.

Wallace latest

Nottingham Forest are said to have "cooled" their interest in Millwall winger Jed Wallace.

Forest have been linked with Wallace for a number of weeks after recording five goals and six assists in the first half of the season.

He has not played for Millwall since December 11 due to a thigh injury but is expected to return to action soon.

Steve Cooper had seen Wallace as a direct replacement for Brennan Johnson, according to the Mirror, though Forest are now confident of keeping the young Wales international on their books beyond Monday's deadline.

Forest have rejected another bid from Premier League side Brentford for Johnson, this one a club record, and are refusing to let their key man leave.
