Nottingham Forest delete strong Wolves statement following backlash

Nottingham Forest have deleted a tweet teasing Wolverhampton Wanderers in the build-up to this afternoon's fixture at Molineux.

Forest go to the West Midlands looking to build on their 1-1 against Aston Villa earlier in the week against another team struggling at the wrong end of the Premier League table.

Emmanuel Dennis opened the scoring for Forest in that game and is a huge talking point in the build-up to this clash too, with the summer recruit featuring in a provocative pre-match graphic posted by the Forest media team.

It had depicted Dennis sitting on a pitch playing with three Wolves pups, presumably suggesting he would be doing the same come 3pm at Molineux. Just to ram home the point, the picture was captioned with the word "Playtime".

However, Forest have since deleted the tweet due to the reaction of some Wolves fans, as seen below.

@ReepaOfWolves: Naaaaa.

@WhiteNoise1879: That's mighty bold talk from the Forest admin.

Tim Dunstone: They get a point and think they’re back. 7 game winless streak playing 18th, they wouldn’t want to lose, especially now!

@benjclarke02: 100% going to be on football images that precede unfortunate events later.

@simonj911878: Wolves 4-0 Nottingham Forest.

@Silhouett3Yrome: YIKES.
