Nottingham Forest striker Emmanuel Dennis has been ruled out of international action due to injury.
The summer signing had been called up by Nigeria as a replacement for Adana Demirspor's Henry Onyekuru ahead of a friendly against Algeria next Tuesday. But the Super Eagles’ official Twitter account posted an update saying Dennis would also miss out.
The former Watford forward is one of five players listed as being injured, with replacements brought in to take their places. No details have been given on any of the players’ injuries.

Dennis has made five appearances for the Reds since putting pen to paper. He was a late substitute in Friday night’s defeat to Fulham.
Meanwhile, defender Moussa Niakhate has linked up with the Senegal squad for their upcoming fixtures, offering hope that a Forest comeback may not be too far away. He has been pictured in training gear for the Lions’ first session ahead of a friendly against Bolivia on Saturday.
Niakhate has been sidelined with a hamstring problem since the 1-0 win over West Ham United last month. It still remains to be seen whether he features for his country, with another match against Iran scheduled for next Tuesday.
Local media Senactu7 state Niakhate “did indeed present himself to the regrouping of the Lions” on Monday. But they add: “A presence which revives the debates as to the ability or not of Moussa Niakhate to take an active part in the preparation of the two friendly matches of Senegal.
“The new Senegalese international has been unavailable at (his) club for a few weeks due to a ligament injury. It remains to be seen whether he comes to have his injury noted, unless the severity of the injury is of lesser importance. In this case, Niakhate could well honour his first selection…”
