New Nottingham Forest arrival Gustavo Scarpa has said that things can only get better for the Reds after confirming that he’s signed a three-and-a-half year contract a the City Ground.
The attacking midfielder is due to arrive at Forest in January following the expiry of his contract with Brazilian side Palmeiras at the end of the year. The season in Brazil comes to an end later this month, but Scarpa has already helped his team to clinch the league title with a number of impressive displays.
While his focus has been on his current side, the 28-year-old has also been keeping an eye on how his new club have been getting on.

“I watched part of the match against Liverpool. Against Arsenal... I didn't see it (laughs),” he told Brazilian podcast PodPorco (via ESPN ).
“But when I get there, it can't get any worse. The team is in last, whichever comes is profit. It's difficult".
Scarpa is said to have agreed a three-and-a-half year deal with Forest back in June with his contract running out. But he wished to stay with the Brazilian club to help them clinch the title at the end of the season.
The midfielder has now opened up about his decision to leave Palmeiras for the Reds, the process of the move, and how he is determined to make the most of the opportunity. “I'm leaving Brazilian champion,” he said.
“I know how much it took to earn the respect and admiration of fans at a club like Palmeiras. It's the experience, opportunity. I'm super happy, super excited. What I really like is challenge. It’s a three and a half year contract.
“Modesty aside, I know I leave here with open doors. That was my real intention to have been transparent in the negotiation.
“I want to leave, I signed a pre-contract, but I would like to stay here until the end. I expressed my desire to leave.
“If I fall, I'll turn around right there. If I do well and have another chance, even better. My idea is not to go back on the first difficulty.”
