Nottingham Forest have added two friendlies to their pre-season programme ahead of the 2023/24 Premier League campaign.
The Reds will play French outfit Stade Rennais at St George’s Park on Wednesday, August 2, with a 7pm kick-off. This match will take place behind closed doors.
Steve Cooper ’s men will take on Eintracht Frankfurt at Deutsche Bank Park on Saturday, August 5, with a 3.30pm local time kick-off. This fixture will round off Forest’s pre-season schedule, before the league action begins on the weekend of August 12-13.

Friendlies against Notts County at Meadow Lane (on July 15, 1pm kick-off) and PSV Eindhoven at Philips Stadion (on Sunday, July 30, 6.30pm local time kick-off) have already been confirmed. The club remain in discussions to finalise another friendly against Dutch opposition on the Friday before their clash with PSV (July 28).
Managed by Bruno Genesio, Stade Rennais finished fourth in Ligue 1 during the season just gone as they qualified for UEFA Europa League. Frankfurt, managed by Dino Toppmoller, finished seventh in the Bundesliga after winning the UEFA Europa League in the 2021/22 campaign. Forest say ticket and streaming details for their pre-season friendlies will be confirmed in due course.
The Reds will discover their Premier League fixtures this Thursday, when planning can really begin for the upcoming term. The new campaign will begin on the weekend of August 12-13, with the final match of the season being played on Sunday, 19 May, 2024.
The 2023/24 schedule will include a mid-season break, which will take place between January 13 and January 20 2024. Next term will consist of 34 weekends, three midweek rounds and one Bank Holiday match round.
