Forest eye double Huddersfield deal

Nottingham Forest are reportedly 'ready' to table a £10 million transfer bid for Huddersfield Town midfielder Lewis O'Brien, with the Reds also said to be 'confident' of signing Terriers left wing-back Harry Toffolo.

O'Brien, 23, made 50 appearances across all competitions for Carlos Corberan's side last season as they pushed for promotion before ultimately falling short to the Reds in the Championship play-off final. O'Brien played the full 90 minutes at Wembley and was involved in the contentious penalty call when defender Max Lowe was adjudged by referee Jon Moss not to have fouled the midfielder after going in for a challenge inside the area.

After failing to secure a return to the Premier League after that defeat, Huddersfield may now be resigned to losing their talented midfielder to the team who consigned them to a fourth straight season in the second tier. Yorkshire neighbours Leeds United are said to have had O'Brien as a long-term target, but have now moved on to 'more expensive options'.
