Nottingham Forest confirm Carabao Cup details ahead of return to action

Nottingham Forest have confirmed the date for their Carabao Cup tie with Blackburn Rovers.

The Reds will make the trip to Ewood Park for the fourth round clash next month. It will be their first game back after the World Cup break.

The match will take place on Wednesday, December 21, 7.45pm kick-off. Forest will have an allocation of 4,319 tickets, with on-sale dates to be announced in due course.

Tickets will be priced at £12 for adults, £5 for seniors (aged 65+), £5 for youths (18-23) and £2 for under 18s.

Steve Cooper’s side sealed progress in the competition by toppling Tottenham Hotspur at the City Ground. In what was a big week for the Reds before the season paused, they beat their Premier League rivals in impressive fashion to set up the meeting with Rovers.

Summer signings Renan Lodi and Jesse Lingard both bagged their first goals for the club in the third round tie against Spurs, with a red card for Orel Mangala the only blot on the copybook. And that result was followed by a crucial victory over Crystal Palace which lifted Forest off the foot of the table going into the break.

Before the action resumes next month, the Reds have three friendlies planned. They will take on Atromitos and Olympiacos during a training camp in Greece, and then make the trip to face Spanish outfit Valencia.

After beating Spurs, and prior to learning who his team would be paired with in the next round, Cooper had said: "There was lots of objectives for the game, but the most important objective of a cup game is winning and getting through. To do that was really pleasing. We'll see what the draw brings and deal with it when it comes round.”
