Nottingham Forest, Celtic and Rangers 'keen' on Championship starlet

Nottingham Forest are reportedly one of three clubs "keen" on signing Blackburn Rovers forward Tyrhys Dolan this summer.

The 20-year-old scored five goals and assisted another three in 34 appearances for Rovers across all competitions last season. Dolan has been a first team regular at Ewood Park for the past two seasons since breaking through as an 18-year-old.

An England under-20 international, Dolan has two years remaining on his current contract after signing an extension in February 2021. The deal also includes the option of adding on an additional 12 months, which would then see it run until the summer of 2025.

TalkSPORT's Geoff Peters is reporting the Reds' interest in Dolan as well as other "serious interest" from Scotland. "Blackburn’s highly rated Tyrhys Dolan is attracting serious interest north and south of the border," the broadcaster tweeted.

"Celtic and Rangers are both keen as are newly promoted Nottingham Forest. The England Under 20 striker has two years left on his BRFC contract. Fee could be around £2m-£3m."

Dolan featured in both Championship fixtures against Forest last season, starting the 2-1 home win for Rovers while Chris Hughton was still in charge last August and coming on as a substitute at the City Ground in February when the Reds won 2-0. He also played a part in both defeats during the 2020/21 season.
