Nottingham Forest head coach Steve Cooper eased injury fears over Ryan Yates, after the midfielder seemed to pick up a knock against Notts County.
Yates was making his return from a knee problem at Meadow Lane. The Nigel Doughty Academy graduate had missed the last four friendlies after suffering the injury during the Reds' pre-season training camp in Spain.
He made his return against the Magpies, but required treatment just before half-time. Striker Sam Surridge had been back on the pitch for Forest, too, having required groin surgery following the play-off victory at Wembley in May.

Asked about Yates, Cooper said after the 2-2 draw: “He’s okay. He just had a little knock.
“He tells me he’s alright! But he always says he’s alright!
“Seriously, he’s okay. He had a bit of a knock right at the end of the first half.
“For him and Sam to be out there and get some minutes was good. For the goal, Yatesy played a brilliant pass, which we’ve done a lot of work on over the last however many months. It doesn’t go unnoticed by me. And then Cafu to Sam, and Sam with a brilliant finish.
“It was great to get those two guys back involved - and not just playing, but also in training as well. They train with so much energy and positivity that it really does have a positive influence on so many."
